This could be quite a sizeable request
I'll assume you have got MS Money 2004, I'll also assume that you have set up an account (bank) within Money (either manually or via the wizard when you first went in) - let's call it HSBC Account.
To enter adhoc transactions into this account, i.e. cash withdrawal, etc, just go into the HSBC Account and click the "NEW" button at the bottom of the screen (this will open up a small form for you to complete.
If we are talking about regular day-to-day transactions then go to the "Bills & Deposits" page and click on the "NEW" button, then select if it is a bill, deposit, transfer, etc, etc. Within this you can set the frequency for you transactions.
I would really recommend you use the Help option as this will guide you through whatever you need to do.

Have a look here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-gb;mny and here http://money.msn.co.uk/MyMoney/MicrosoftMoney/Guides/OnlineBanking/GettingStarted/default.asp which should get you off and running.
If it is a technical issue, then http://money.mvps.org/default.aspx might be of interest. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'm really beginning to get cross with this. I have tried to download from three different accounts and I seem to get brief pop ups that disappear before I even know they are there and Natwest is registering that it has done a download but Money does not seem to be registering any of this???
What am I doing wrong. I have tried it with two different banks now as well!!!!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do the banks you use actually support a download directly into MS Money?
If yes, what happens if you click on Home in Money? Does it show that you have statements to read? Provided you have not customised your Money Homepage, in the second column, there should be one headed "Reminders" and it shows if you have statements to read.
Alternatively, to into the account and see if there's an unread statement in the left hand menu bar.
I assume that you have set up accounts in Money for the ones you are trying to download and that you have been through the connect to online services wizard in Money?
Perhaps let us know exactly what you've done so far.... you may have cut some corners and ended up in the wrong place

Do you mean the things you buy using cash? You can't easily enter these into Money. Money is designed to replicate your bank account transactions, so if you take out cash, you enter that in Money as a single cash withdrawal.
If you want to track what you spend the cash on, you can, but it's not perfect. You would need to create a fictitious account called "Cash". When you take cash from your current account, in Money, enter this as a transfer from your Current account to your Cash account. Then, when you spend cash, enter the amounts in your Cash Account.
You will not be able to balance your cash account, unless you account for every penny you spend. If you do, then simply balance it at the end of every week/month with what's left in your purse.
