hi all
Need advice. I was working last year with a company earning a very good package however due to recession was made redundant in the year end 2008. I went through lot of depression . Now i m pregnant and its my 24 week and i still am looking for job. As they say in 66 test period they need proof of 13 weeks pay slip ,i still can show it. However at this moment i m still looking for work. Can i claim maternity allowance. Just sad and confused as have been working all years of my life and this year been really tough for me. Any advice would really help. I am not on job seeker allowance as i was not aware of it. Is there any way out to come out of this tough situation
Many thanks
ashley

You might just qualify for MA then. If you will be 25 weeks pregnant in the week beginning 30 August, the test period will be from 7 September 2008 to 12 December 2008. If you qualify, you can start receiving MA from 26 weeks.
You can apply online, here is the application form:

Also have a look at entitledto.com to see if there is anything else you can claim.0
