I'm looking for a toothpaste for my Cav. I have been giving her Dentstix and certain chew toys to try and help clean her teeth but not helping that much. I can only find toothpaste at Pets At Home which is minty. I did try it with my Cav and it is so minty, she just keeps pulling weird faces. Does anyone know any nicer tasting dog toothpaste? She'll let me use a plain toothbrush (to an extent) but not at all with minty toothpaste on it!

I use the logic toothpaste which they seem to like and it has enzymes so will work without brushing (better with) which is good as i find it difficult to brush the back teeth. http://www.vetuk.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=11&zenid=7jop7ju5ooi4rdpe46m7lj82u70

We use a bottle of Pet Dental - its just a bottle of mouthwash that you put a tiny drop into their water bowl. One of my dogs has horrendous breath, but since using this its lovely and fresh now. Even after she's been licking her fanny lol0

HI, we use Logic gel and a dog toothbrush for our cav, you don't even need the toothbrush really as the gel dissolves the yellow stuff on their teeth.... it's quite good, we use their ear cleaner as well...Shtf 27th sept 2012....

I'd check the dogs diet as well as looking into toothpaste...excess tartar can usually be explained if the dogs are fed on a "soft" diet, e.g. no kibble, etc, to crunch...may be worth adding a bit to feed to help...also check the additives in the food you're feeding as the amount of sugar, etc, that is put into some brands of dog food is obscene and wont be helping matters
