Buying car tax without log book. help please.
Hi, i bought a car 2 weeks ago off my SIL, sent off the form , but havent as yet recieved my log bbok. The thing is the tax is due at the end of this month(2 days). I have the mot cert, and the tax reminder(in SIL's name). Can i go to the post office and tax it, or will i have to wait for the log book???

I *think* that you should be able to tax it. I'm not sure that it's too important whose name is on the tax reminder. Why don't you just go to the post office and try? The worst they can do is say no.What goes around - comes around0
