Recommendations for mouse-proof storage boxes please

Can anyone recommend the above? I've just been clearing out the under-eaves storage and I'm sick to death of everything being chewed or used for nesting material. I do my best to keep the mice out, from a council visit, 2 cats, blocking off holes etc etc but its a very old stone house, half built into the hill and though they no longer come into the kitchen or other main rooms they are still in the eaves. They've also been getting into the shed, I've blitzed that too, and used wire wool in any tiny gaps. But I could do with some storage boxes for bedding, carpet leftovers and the like. I've had some wooden ones but the mice got in through the hardboard bases, and plastic ones all seem to have gaps for handles etc. or the lids don't clip down firmly enough.

Has anyone seen anything else on their travels? Or have any alternative ideas? I want to get it sorted before the mice start wanting to move in from the fields again for winter.

I've used a brand called "Really Useful" for storage of clothes in the loft. They come in nice big sizes, are solid plastic and come with the click lock lid so cannot be accidentally opened.

They came from Staples but I am sure they are available elsewhere.

I use an old ammunition box to keep seed etc. away from rats and mice.

Metal, often with waterproof seals, reasonably cheap and they come in a range of sizes. Prices seem to vary wildly. Try a local army surplus store to avoid postage charges.
