buyer and addresses, advice

Basically I had an item finish sat evening and ive been away for the weekend returning late last night.

Ive just checked my ebay and seen that this particular item sold for 99p plus the postage cost.

On my ebay it states that the buyer has left a message with this item.

The message states hi please can you post to x address and as soon as possible as i need it for Thursday.

Lucky im not work today so i can post it, otherwise it wouldnt have been sent till Tuesday as i cant get to a post office on monday, so thats not an issue, all though it will be sent 2nd class so I cant gaurentee it will get there in time!

Now the address she is asking it to be sent to, is different from her paypal confirmed okay to post address, all be it in the same area. Ive just looked on google maps and its about 1 mile from the paypal registered address.

So ive replied and said that i will only post to the paypal confirmed address and if she wants it sent to another address i can refund her payment and she can resend it with the correct address for it to be sent to. Ive said im going to go to the post office at x time and if i dont hear back by then it will be sent to the post office address.

Now it isnt a lot of money that were talking about, but to be honest i am a little worried about this buyer now, as i find people like this can be a pain in the neck. So should i send it recorded delivery, which means i will make no profit on this item but at least i will have proof of delivery to the confirmed address on paypal.

For the sake of a couple of pounds would you just send it to the address shes asking or insist its the paypal address? Im sure if i got a certificate of postage and she claimed it didnt arrive i could just get the money back from royal mail but its the hassle of it all and the possible negative feedback, however shes only ever given positives out before

i just dont want to make a 99p auction a load of hassle really - is it worth it?

For the sake of 99p I would send it to the requested address. I would just make it clear that you are doing them a favour as you may not have been able to post in time, that they should have contacted you before. Also I would mention that the postage only covers 2nd class and that they may wish to upgrade it

I do think its a lot of hassle for 99p and if i send recorded delivery once you take in to account the fees to ebay and paypal i would actually be on a loss as postage qouted is standard 2nd class and this is stated on the listing.

I think i will just wait and see if they reply to my email and if not just send it to the address they asked.

It is like you say only 99p at the end of the day.
