Yes i appreciate I am lucky not to be prosecuted. I have made a dreadful judgment in neglecting my affairs and failing to keep them informed. However I have not set out to defraud anyone. I suppose I was just focussed on getting by, what with the business failing. My partner moving in was a little complicated as he was a house husband for 2 years and not contributing whilst I focussed on getting the business off the ground.I legitemately changed to another child care provider and the costs were the same as the previous one on Tax Credits records. I genuinely thought what difference can a name of a provider make, so never mentioned it.
pity he didnt look after the kids instead of gran getting £15K a year for doing it, maybe you wouldnt be in such deep doodoo now..0 -

the next episode....
I know a lot can happen in 4 days but come on............
23rd augustI was made bankrupt March 09 and I have received a notice from HMRC to sat that I have been over paid by thousands for 06/07 and 08/09 ! I know that this cannot be included in my current BR.
Obviously they want me to pay it back but how, i am an undischarged Br and have no disposable income and they have now stopped my claim and so I can't work as I don't get the child care element. Looks like I will have to apply for income support, housing and council tax benefit. Madness I want to work but I cant pay the childminder now !
19th augustWell this post is going to pee of those judgmental few who believe the tax mans purse is all theirs!! Seems to be plenty of you on this so so supportive board!!
We have this very arrangement and I couldn't work without it. Granny (my mum) has trained and registered as an ofsted approved childminder. I am self employed and work long antisocial hours. We are entitled to £1200 in child care element per month so that is how I pay mum. The kids go to her house and she also looks after a non related child 2 mornings a week. She offers me complete flexibility, sometimes the kids stay over and she gets paid accordingly.0 -
and i wouldnt wanna be seen to be picky but.....
spot the mistake....
15/08/08I need to pick your brains about my situ. I am a single mum , 2 kids and have a 190K mortgage on our home and 70 K of unsecured debt. I own 2 limited companies. Company 1 - a beauty salon is not making any money(runs at a loss) and has 30K of debt. I own 50% of Company 2 and has just been opened and is due to start trading in November - I believe it will be profitable. My biz partner and I have both invested 6K in this company to get it off the ground.

If I serve as a warning to others , so be it - what I did was wrong. So as for the unhelpful posts, you really don't touch the sides with regards to your narrow minded judgements - the reality of my situation is the biggest punishment. And I shall stand up and be counted - be assured of that.
