Investing in my partners property

My partner currently owns her home outright on her own with no mortgage and we have discussed myself investing a 1/3 share in the property and also adding my name to the deeds. We are due to be married next year. The property is valued in the region of 185-195,000 and I would be paying my partner a monthly sum of £500 a month until I had reached the 1/3 share value.I also have money available to invest in a lump sum but would prefer not to use it at the moment.Any thoughts or advice anybody has to offer would greatly be appreciated.

Strange word to use "investing". And you're getting married.
It all just seems very odd.
Don't the vows say "all my wordly goods I thee endow?", so you'll get it free
And at that some point, your savings will be in her sticky grasp.0 -
I'll give your partner £500 a month if I can have a third share in her property now.
You expect your partner to trust you enough to sign over her property but you'd prefer to keep your capital to yourself? That doesn't come across too well.

invest is such a strange choice of words.
What would your soon to be married life partner do with the cash? won't the cash be put into the marriage so to speak when you get married?0 -
Why bother,
If you stay together you will share anyway
If you split it just complicates things.
Stick your £500pm in your savings0
