Fantastic news Elly – is that for you, or your DD?
Dolly, hugs, have you been to the docs to get your knee checked out for damage deep inside?
Zoe, are you ok? Is having another baby such a big disaster?
I had a very productive HHC - my lists are looking much better. I thought I was able to claim a kitchen star, but then rechecked the list and realised the fridge was on it. I hate doing the fridge! Might be able to persuade DH to do it for me!

Is it wrong to want to buy myself a kenwood when I already have a top of the range magimix?0 -
Tia - good to see you posting - assuming that is your DD in your avatar she looks lovely.
Zoe - huge hugs for you, and good luck for whatever you decide to do.
Greenbee - yes it is wrong. Unless you give me the Magimix?
Valli - congrats to your DS
In my HHC I S&Sd the kitchen (again), emptied and filled the DW, put the recycling out and refilled the boys snack boxes for the week.
Someone suggested the snack boxes ages and ages ago (was it Pigpen?) and I wanted to say thankyou. Finally tried this with mine after getting fed up with selfish teenagers [STRIKE]stealing[/STRIKE] eating everything despite having more disposable income than I do. All of the boys (and DH so they don't pinch his nuts!) have their own box for the week - once it is empty they get nothing else and it is officially stealing if you eat something from someone elses. Cheap biscuits, etc. Working really well so thank you again.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

:D:DJust back with results:j:j:j
DS1(A2) got his E for ICT! That means he can either do an access course or get a place on a foundation degree course.(He managed to get E again for English GCSE - so he's paying himself for the next retake, perhaps that will focus his mind)
DD(AS) - Art C, English E. She's pleased with the art, but wishes she'd done more work for English. Nuff said.
DS2 (GCSE Yr 10) Statistics C, Science C. He's very pleased with the Statistics, as he got U in the mock.
We celebrated with a Feast lolly. (Actually, we had a really good meal out last Thursday, as a celebration in advance!)
elly - great results!
cally's DD Fabulous, well done!
valli - well done for your DS!
boddy - more tears tomorrow I expect - it's a big moment, but make the most of it.
(re the teachers who go into it for just the promotion - never met one. If you didn't care about the children, then you'd never make it through your first placement. By the by, unless every school had different holiday breaks, then peak periods would still exist, when travel companies et al can put prices up. We benefited a year or two ago, when the Easter break here was different, and we got a very cheap week away!)
Flying?? Oh, yes, I'm just off to start! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Elly - fantastic very well done
Zoe - hugs sweetie and lots of tea with sugar for the shock
Boddy - hugs sweetie, you are bound to feel emotional it is the end of an era (but just the start of another)
Shoes DS3 done, DS2's on order - got DS1's but now realise they are the same size as his old ones which look fine so when I go to collect DS2's they could well be being returned! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well Done Tom!
Zoe - hugs - you've got my number if you want to chat - I'm sure it'll be fine.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
