We've just put upsome very light wallpaper in the living room and hubby has been over the top with the paste resulting oin some on the surface of the paper that shines out. Do you know of any ideas for removing it apart from washing with warm water (paper is quite thiin).
Thank you

Its very difficult and mainly impossible to remove the paste after its dried, thats why you should always wipe down your lengths or every 2-3 lengths with warm clear water after you have hung the paper, and of course your table.
However, there is product which will remove the paste and that horrible shine, but you must go very careful.
Buy a product called Zinsser DIF, some DIY stores have it, pour a bit of neat on your sponge, and gently wipe away the paste, then gently wash/ rinse of the DIF with warm water and the sponge, if its not all removed in the one go, leave it for a day for the paper to dry back, then repeat the process, this will remove the paste.:D0 -
Thank you misgrace, I shall pass that onto hubby.
Kind regards
