Thank you all for your comments. I decided to go with Direct Line for my combined home & contents as they appear to be giving me the best deal and they are a well known name so are more likely to pay out if I make a claim (which I hope not) than someone who I've not heard of before. I shall worry about next year when renewal time comes around!0
