Hello all, sorry if this has been a problem before, I've searched with no results
I am listing many things on ebay and last night I started a sell your item form for a pair of shoes. When I got to the confirmation page, the fees showed up at £15 (or thereabouts) and said I'd chosen the feature plus option. I had not, and couldn't find it anywhere when I tried to revise the listing.
I decided to save the sell your item form for later, and ask my BIL for some advice.
I came back to ebay today and not only was the item listed, but it was listed as feature plus and I have been charged the £15 on my account.
I'm furious as I didn't confirm the listing.
I have contacted ebay, once by email/message and once by comment.
I'm really worried that I won't get the money back though as its my word against theirs and I honestly couldn't tell you how it happened. Surely its not a technical glitch?
If I don't get my money back its really going to stump me as the item isn't worth much - just a pair of shoes!!!
should I cancel the item or wait for ebay to respond?
help!!
thanks

You should contact ebay again and explain, asking what is going on. Most likely they will credit you with a refund. There may be a phone number lurking about the fourms somewhere. Live help can also be useful, though it's very hit and miss depending on if you get an advisor with half a brain or not. If they are useless, disconnect the chat and try again. They can actually help you, but unfortunately half of them are as useful as a chocolate fire-guard.0

Hoe strange, I was sure i posted on this one last night Anyway, do as NeilJung says and get in touch with ebay ASAP, live help can be very good. They do very often refund enhanced services but in the cases we have on here it is usually only where the user gets in touch immediately, ie within a couple of hours, to report a problem.
You do need to work out though how you listed something and what box you ticked without realising it so this doesn't happen again. A saved item cannot just list itself, you may well have just hit the wrong button as sometimes ebay don't use the most logical descriptions to explain what will happen.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. thanks guys, I contacted them as soon as I realised, but it was the next day. I can't find live help - just a virtual assistant who doesn't help at all!??
I really can't tell you how I selected the feature plus box or even confirmed the listing, I would happily admit it was my fault if it was, but I just can't explain it... I have a had a few technical glitches with ebay this weekend, just being logged out strangely and pages "jumping"...
if you could post a link to live help, that would be great, until then I'm going to keep pestering them! Thanks againSPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.590 -
just an update - ebay have refunded the fees as I finally found chat live in the help section. They were really helpful, even though they kept moving me to different departments!
Thanks again for your help, you've saved me £15 and a lot of stress!SPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.590
