  • Yes Asda are not an ISP, but this isn't to do with the ISP's service, we already know there is nothing wrong with that.

This is about the sale of equipment.

If you had a phone line with BT they wouldn't care if your cordless phones were having problems.

You are either a troll or you are ignoring folks posts - please read my post again, then post here when you have understood.

Why am I in such a bad mood?

BT would not have supplied the cordless phones, Sky provided the router/modem, it is part of their so called service provision, it is their responsiblity.

Do you work for Sky? .. you seem to share their cavalier attitude to customer care.
  • Sorry to have started such an argument. I was just looking for a bit of advice. Maybe I'm wrong in expecting a bit of service from Sky, but seen as my father pays nearly £60 I think that service is the least we can expect. Thanks for the advice on the Sky forums. I'll check them out. x
  • I couldn't care less about sky, I’ll defend people who spend an hour and half trying to help others but don’t get thanked for their time.

ISP's do usually supply gateway devices to new customers but if they stop working after their warranty has run out they have no obligation to replace it as the warranty is with Netgear. They give them out to get people on line and signed up.

As they once did with telephones.

And yes this is completely pointless as the problem is most likely on the computer.

Mini you get your service from sky, it's going right to your router as we know. If you want to speak to someone then your computer manufacturer is the right place to call.

This is from HP but it's windows so you should find what you need here.

You Father is correct, he should expect and get help from Sky, good luck at the Sky Forums, I am sure you will be treated with some courtesy there.;)

Inactive, Asda supply routers but you wouldn’t expect them to troubleshoot them, that ones for the manufactures. Netgear have a support number but it looks like the problems on the computer.

The man from sky may have been poor but he won’t be trained for your problem. He has tried to help when he could have just said ring Netgear or Toshiba.

The world would be a much better place if people showed a little respect.

Eat your own words bud ;)
