Advice on sar request with captital 1

Hi everyone

I sent off a Sar request with Capital one and was due to receive this back this week on the 28th August. This was sent recorded, with the fee and included information from mr previous name- ie maiden name.

Received a letter yesterday, asking for copies of documents to show name change and the £10 fee.

What can I do - any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance

Did you not send the fee with your original request?

Thanks, yes I did send the fee with my orginal request, it was attached to the letter. Although they have not cashed this. Additionally, I dont understand why they wait till the 33rd day to advise of name documentation proof and then say I will have to wait a further 40 days on receipt of this????????

Until they cash the cheque they haven't as such acknowledged that they have sufficient information to process the request. Please cancel the cheque for £10.00 and tell your bank it was lost(so they don't charge you) and then do as they have requested.
