iPhone on orange network...any issues?

Hi

i upgraded to a Blackberry 8900 Curve not so long ago on a friends recommendation but to be fair, i dont really get on with it......and neither does he now to be fair!

I'd very much like to get an iPhone 3g S but my contract is Orange and wouldn't run out for a loooong time yet.

Is it possible to buy an iPhone, unblock it and then use it with my orange SIM?

Would i loose the full use of the iPhone or would i be ok.

Just to let you know, i use my phone for business aswell as social. ie, emails are pushed to my bberry, syncronized with my laptop for calender etc etc so could i still do this with an unblocked iPhone on orange

I've used both a 2G and 3Gs iPhone on Orange with no problems at all. You don't get visual voicemail, but that is it.

Just make sure your plan as unlimited data as the iPhone will make you use the internet much much more.

have got 'unlimited' web access for my Bberry already so shouldn't have a problem.

I have a 3GS 32GB running on Orange. You have to manually enter all your settings for MMS, Web etc but once done runs like a dream.

You will need to jailbreak the phone first then you will be able to unlock it to run on Orange.
