Oasis Cancel V Headline - Refund?

I had a day ticket to V-Festival on Sunday. The staff on the gates checking tickets as we went in were telling everyone that Oasis werent there and that some sort of refund would be available but they didnt know what. They told everyone to hang on to our tickets and go to the box office at the end of the night - the box office was outside the gates and we were told that with day tickets if we left to sort it out then, we wouldnt be allowed back in.
When the festival was over we went to the box office but it had been cleared away! Cant find anything on the V-festival site to say how to get refund. Any ideas??!!0 -
umm I got the terms and conditions sent through with my tickets, regarding the Maztec Ltd Term, but surely this is introducing new terms after a contract has been created? Contract law basics??0

does anyone know where to write to for a refund as it will only be the organisers who will refund seetickets ticketline etc will only refund on their say so. I'm guessing in orde for us to get some money back we would need to write to:
Maztec Ltd

Hi, I also had a Sunday ticket for V.
We did not get told as we were going in that Oasis were not going to be there. We didn't go in until about 1.30pm so they would have known by then. Did you manage to find anything out about getting a refund?0 -
I have sent a letter to See and V festival and I will let you know what they say back!Wins Pre-2011 : Arctic Monkeys Tickets

Any update on this yet?? The organisers of the Paris festival they didn't turn up to are refunding 15 euros though I don't know how much those tickets cost in comparison to V0

In my opinion, based on Oasis' track record for turning up to gigs (let alone completing them), this is something you should have considered before buying the tickets. The T&Cs are very clear - there's no reason for the promoter to give a refund.
Hopefully Oasis will disappear now Noel, the talented one, has left.0 -
I woudl be interested if you hear anything too!
My friend has complained to V festival organisers about the poor organisation at Chelmsford this year, all we seemed to do was queue! Queue for the toilet, queue for drinks even when bands were playing! Queue to get into the arena and the worst was attempting to leave on Monday morning, four people stinky people stuck in a car for three hours having to use the stinking toilets that had not been emptied that morning! Nice! Not heard anything to date!
Also rumour has it that Kasabain offered to fill the headline spot!! V festival organisers declined their offer as they had shunted Snow Patrol up to the main spot! How amazing would that have been if Kasabian had played! Would have certainly made up for the lack of organisation! Hey ho!0 -
I am in the same situation as you did you get any advice on a refund from anyone?0

On a slightly different tack, I went to "see" Oasis on 4th June 2009 at Heaton Park when the generator repeatedly broke down. I sent my ticket off for a refund (as promised by the band) by recorded delivery and have never heard from them since. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding a plan (b)? Friends who I went with received their refunds within about 10 days.0
