Aviva Car Breakdown cover

Beware car breakdown cover with Aviva. We have had a joint cover car breakdown policy with Aviva for two years which included European breakdown cover. The renewal cost seemed extremely expensive £246. Phoned them to ask for european cover to be taken off as we no longer need this, to be told that this would make no difference to the cost. Funnily enough, when you do an online quote, you can have a quote without European cover. Not happy to stay with a company who are basically not telling us the truth and trying to keep us paying much more than we need to. Alternative cover with other companies is much cheaper. Goodbye Aviva!

Try the AA RAC etc there will be some cashback if you got through quidco/topcashback etc

Surprised at Aviva being so expensive, there breakdown cover usually costs me about £30 a year with home and onward travel etc. Always found it a bargain.
