Spending diary - that's the key as suggested. Get a little notebook and write down everything you spend for the next month. Then youll see where it's going.

How old are you? I am 31 and have three points and pay £230 for my car insurance, with four years' no claims. That's with Tesco, and they also give you a £20 gift card so that's like a week's free food as well. Worth shopping around.
Tried Tesco and their quote was £777
I will stick with mine for now thans anyway, a iary of oney spent sems a good idea I will get a note pad and start tomorrow :)
  • Just as a matter of interest why are you paying 1400 quid for HGV lessons? is that for class 1&2.... Im an HGV Instructor we run courses in London for class 2 for around 840 quid:j

car insurance I doubt as I have 3 points, otherwise it would be down to £40ish

You should try at least. I have six points, OH six points too, we drive a BMW and only have 2 years no claims. I have just got the ins down from £69 per month to £59 per month (its not a lot, but its another £120 to the debt busting)

What is your 3 contract like. I have just rung Orange and they have put my account on hold until my financial situation gets better. I have then ordered a sim card from Orange for £1 which gives me 300 free texts every time I top up with £10.

Good luck - and your glass is really half full. You have got something to throw at your debts. Put your apr's in and someone will help you sort it out.

  • ... and I can't give up squash, I am tying to lose my beer gut as I used to be a very fit lad when I was younger and let myself go and with squash the weight is falling off and i'm feeling fit, which I havent done in a long time,
£330 sounds a lot of money to last for a month but I just can not seem to control my spending and I can't see where my money is going. I try to ive myself £100 a week but even then I find I have no money come Tuesday??

Forgive me if this sounds harsh... but other than a little self-control and will-power I don't see what the problem is! It appears to me that your SOA includes your loan clearance (except for catalogues) and that, when all bills are paid, you have £80 a week (in a 4-week month) over and above all essentials.

A lot of people would give their right arms for that much! Don't give yourself £100 / week... give yourself £10 / day AND STICK TO IT.

You don't say how much you spend on booze! Reading between the lines I would guess that is an issue somewhere...

Anyway... good luck. You are evidently not happy at the moment... I hope you sort this soon!
