I have put my signature into documents by putting the signature onto a piece of paper, scanning and saving to my documents, then when I need to put it into a document, I just copy & paste!

Have done this on several occasions, the last one being on a document to the FOS.

Are we talking about a digital signature here? Or a picture of your signature in Office?

You've opened the image haven't you? You don't need to do that - close whatever image editor you're using, open your document in OpenOffice.org and go to InsertPictureFrom file instead.

    hiya tanglefoot

    thanks for helping me out
open your document in OpenOffice.org and go to InsertPictureFrom file instead.

ok i opened my document and then done insert>picture> from file

once i've clicked on from file a pop up box opens "insert picture" i'm stuck here now

I did try >insert>picture>scan>request it scans my signature onto the document but again it has all those dots and very small green squares round it.
