Hi all
For the last few days, I haven't been to update the definitions file for my Avira install.
It's currently on 5 minutes plus on "Scan for updates"
I've uninstalled and re-installed the whole thing but I'm still getting the same problem.
Anyone else having problems?

Same here, I only just installed it on a new machine and it took about 45 minutes to update. I thought it was either faulty software or there was already a virus in there stopping it. So it's not just me then.Out on blue six..

I have just been snooping around the Avira support forum, apparently a lot of people are having trouble updating since the 21st August, I think it is a server problem. My last virus definition update was V7.01.05.149, which I got on Saturday afternoon after the automatic update failed that morning. It tried to update yesterday and this morning but I got the message that it is up to date. Has anyone had a more recent update than Saturday?0

Mine updated yesterday:idea:0

I wonder why mine didn't then! Was your last update a different file than V7.01.05.149?0
-
Nope ~ thats the one (I update mine every 3 days or so)
So clearly the problem must be the latest definition:idea:0 -
We'll just have to wait for them to sort it out then. I'm glad its not just me for a change!0
