passport office - well impressed

well i have just been woken up by the delivery of my partners passport -poor guy delivering got isnt it a sunday ?

its been only two weeks since we applied for it so its been turned around really quickly and finally afyter 3 years of knowing him we can finally go on holiday yay!!

Hey, mine was even quicker, i posted mine of on a saturday and it was delivered back to me on the following Thursday:j
(mine was a renewal, so not sure if that makes it quicker.)

nice to hear praise for passport office for a change! I used to work for them years ago in the post opening room checking apps (applications) if all present and correct the app would go through all processes in about 3/4 hour. then it is sent to be printed and mailed. the quickest reciept i had previously heard about was sent and recieved back passport in 48 hours!! BTW - at the time the post office did a passport app service which was supposed to ensure that your application wouldnt be returned as details were missed or wrong - i found that they werent very good at this and that in some cases stupid mistakes were made like not including passport photos! so - check your app carefully and make sure you include payment (you have no idea how many peeps seemed to think they were free!) and you should have your passport back really quickly. hope this is helpful

mine took less than a week to be returned to me ( renewal, and I had started it online earlier in the year) Man in van delivered it, and I hadn't paid for a special delivery. I was impressed too.
