No PaD yet for me today, but Angelic (I think) asked me to let her know how wedding dress shopping went, so I'll oblige...
Turned up at my appointment to be greeted by a rather snotty sales assistant who didn't take me very seriously (wedding is May 2011). I picked up the dress which has a price tag of £450 on it. The sample in the shop was a size 26 so I asked if I could try the one in the window on. They said no. So they were holding a size 26 dress onto my size 12 figure. I asked if I could take a photo, they said no (which bearing in mind it's got a lot of detail on the back, was quite rude!). Anyway, I liked it.
The sales assistant then told me the dress is actually £580 to order in my size. I could have the size 26 for £450 plus alterations.
My mum persuaded me to try a different style, which I loved. Went to monsoon after and bought a dress there and then for £180. My parents have agreed they'll pay for a Chinese copy of "my" dress from the bridal store so I can have two dresses - one for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and one to dance the night away.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
