hi i don't know if this is the right forum.
I am with halifax and all i have with them is a debit card and last week i got a new one in the post, but my old one doesnt expire till 2011, does anyone know why they would send a new one and will it be ok to use it?
I can't ring my back at the moment, due to phone not working should be able to ring them about the middle of next week.
Thank you
Angela

Are they 100% the same.
Throughly check the whole card, they possibly have changed something like the cheque guarentee limit or removed it if it had one. Maybe taken off Maestro for Visa Debit or changed Electron to Visa Debit.0 -
Try using your new one, if it works, cut your old one up.
Theres always the chance that if you put your new one away till your old one runs out you will put it in such a safe place you wont remember where you actually put it when the time comes.
Been there, done that.:omake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

There are any number of reasons. As long as the valid from date is 08/09, you'll be fine.
Btw, if you ring the Hally's banking helpdesk on 01132 851332, you'll avoid the perishing 0870/0871 numbersPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
