Tesco Exchange

Hi,
I have an item that i need to return to tesco but i dont have the receipt. I know that i will be able to exchange it but i was just wondering if when you make an exchange you can get cigarettes? There is nothing i really need from tesco at the moment as i have just done my shopping so the only thing i really would need is cigarettes.

I think you usually have to exchange items from the same department.

Surely you can find something better to exchange your item for, in the whole of Tesco, than a packet of fags?

I very much doubt that they would let you exchange for cigarettes. Exchanging for cigarettes is a common thing that people try with fraudulent refunds as they can be easier to sell on than the item that they have originally stolen(please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you've done anything), but then again I did work in one of the roughest Tesco stores in the country.

Ha Ha CG19a nothing like that im afraid, just ran out of cash and dont get paid till tomorrow - smoking is the biggest mistake of my life but im a nightmare to live with when i run our of cigarettes
