Appealing BIN prices?

Im planning on listing loads of stuff on ebay tonight but was just wondering if anyone has a system or guide for BIN prices. The things im talking about are all brand new so I was thinking a % of the RRP, maybe 25%???

I just want a quick sale to be honest and as such plan on using immediate payments and short listings as I need some house space back and dont have the time to be chasing people for payment, driving eight miles to the post office every day etc but this way I can send it all together... then job done (hopefully) :D

Any ideas?

  • Just reading back and I sound like one of those dodgy sellers selling brand new stuff on short auctions at a snip of the price :rotfl:

I always do a a search on the item and set it as BIN only, see what the cheapest BIN is and undercut it by about 10p. As a buyer if I can find no difference between items I'll usually go for the cheapest one, even if it only is a small difference.

You could list your BINs as immediate payment required then theres no faffing waiting for payment. Or you could have a BIN with best offer to encourage quick sales but immediate payment doesn't work with that.

If you have a BIN with a best offer you can set an automatic decline and accept for example BIN £30 automatic accept £26, automatic decline £25.99 that way you don't have to faff about or wait for payment. I recently had a bidder who bid within £1:50 of my automatic accept, so i emailed him and told him my minimum and he bid and paid immediately. Hope this makes sense have just finished a 10 hour shift and am goosed.
  • Very much depends on the item type, but I aim for 66% of RRP as a BIN price.
Also search for similar items and try to beat the postage price not BIN price, seems to work better than pure undercutting.
