i have just bought a second hand induction hob. my kitchen wont be fitted for couple of months and at the moment we have a gas cooker so there is not suitable fuse we can attach the induction hob to - is there any way i can check to see if it is working? i am guessing that just hooking it up to a 13 amp plug might not be a good idea

i wish i was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum,

yes you can fit a plug on to it just to test it but only turn one ring on low at a time.
this will not cause a problem, use the thickest cable you have or 6mm twin.0 -
