new law regarding flight change compensation

I have just returned from sunning myself for six or so weeks in the Costa del Sol( poor me). I flew out on Monday 13 March with Air Scotland from Glasgow A/P. That is where my problem lies as I was supposed to fly out on Sunday 12 March but, Glasgow A/P was snowed under that day, and our flight was postponed for 24 hours. At least I got there but I was not even offered a voucher for a cup of tea and I am wondering if I am due any compensation under the new law. Anybody know?
