Because the battery in my Sony ericsson K810i was only lasting 24/36hrs with little usage and was several years old (3/4), I bought a new battery today and was told to charge it between 4/6 hrs then 2 hrs daily. But within 1& half hours, it said fully charged. I'm now unsure whether to disconnect or allow it to run the full 4/6 hrs.

thanks, but something is going through my mind. In the shop, the guy said "these people who leave their phones on overnight or for long periods, only cook the batteries as once they're charged, that's it, no need to keep the charge going".This is a system account and does not represent a real person. yes thats true, but for the first charge it wont hurt to do as per the instructions
after that, let the phone fully discharge(as low as possible) and then fully charge and disconnect asap from when its fully charged to prevent accelerated battery deterioration.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
