Firefox Problem

I've been using FF a while now and all has been fine, until now.
Trying to use Firefox and i get the time out response - all was fine this morning, switched off comp, switched on comp half an hour ago and no go.
I have cleared cache, cookies etc, run virus/spyware etc etc, reinstalled but still nothing. I have checked the port(s) hadn't been blocked by accident, however they are fine.
Any ideas??
