I agree, you also pay no VAT on 'Working dog ' varieties and they are high in protein. I think I get a bigger bag than that for £9, going to get one tomorrow so I'll check. Lasts me ages for two dogs.
Got my bag of dog food. 'Breeder pack for working dog'. A 15kg bag from BATA countryside store £8.50p.

4 x selected Felix pouches £10 at Ocado.
I know this is slightly more expensive than Morrisons, but combined with the 20% Ocado code this makes it cheaper.
However, I managed to finally find a use for my £25 Ocado voucher courtesy of the Times (collecting mastheads).0 -
This is a bit of a cheat ... but if you sign up to the Hills Science website you can immediately print off a £5 voucher:

I then used the voucher in Pets at Home against a pack of wet cat food so paying just £1.80 for twelve x 100g pouches!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
If you have a horse feed shop locally, its worth having a look round as most sell a wide range of small pet/domestic animal food too - and I find the prices are very competitive.
I buy a very large pack (approx 12kgs) of good quallity 'breeder' dog mixer biscuits for £7.95 and they sell shrink wrapped trays of 12 large cans of cat food for £3.50 - these are unlabelled but are normally either felix or whiskas.
Our local feed shop will also buy in large bags ofyour preferred brand of cat/dog biscuits - I have bought James Wellbeloved all in one and saved about £8 a bag. Its well worth having a friendly chat and asking.
To save money on cat litter, I buy bags of horse bedding (approx £6) - its a bit like fine wood chippings/shavings - and use this instead. It is very absorbent and keeps the ammonia smell down. the bags are very compacted so a bag will last for months and moths. It does track a tiny bit but no more than granular cat litter does.
A large bale of compressed hay sells for £2.00-£3.00 and will last your rabbits/guinea pig much, much longer than the small bags of hay sold in pet shops.
Feed shops invariably have a sideline in sacks of fresh, locally grown spuds and carrots which are usually very good value compared with the supermarkets.

It may have been posted earlier but my local Tesco has 10kg of Iams ProActive for large dogs for £10 yesterday, this will do 70 meals apparently.0

The £3 for a 24 pack of Whiskas is on at the 24hr Asda in Walsall, hope this helps someone!
Every time i've been there is none on the shelf, but there has been an unlabelled, unpriced pallet at the end (towards the tills) with loads each time i've been.0 -
Netto - go cat bisuits - 2kg for £3
50p off next purchase voucher 1 per household blurb on the packet0 -
When I went into pets at home today to use the £5 voucher that Fire fox kindly posted the link for, I noticed they also have Royal Canin dry food on buy 1 get 1 free for anyone who uses this food(I was very tempted, but decided to stick to hills as my dog is an oldie and I know she does well on it.)0

I use my local country feed store for dog food - the youngsters get working dog food £7.50 for a 15kg bag, the oldies get senior light £8.50 for a 15kg bag and the visitor who has a gluten intolerance gets gluten free at £13.50 a bag (much better value than the James Wellbeloved at nearly £40 a bag his owner feeds him!!)
If you have one of those shops that gets it supplies from approved foods and the like then ours currently has 1kg bags of IAMS in for £1.89 each only in chicken flavour but my cats love it! Also to echo B&M often have IAMS in too but you have to keep an eye out for it as it seems to appear and go again quite quickly.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0
