I am looking to get a new home phone and broardband package but as I work from home as a landscape gardener I currently have a business package because it allows me a free 'one line' entry in Yellow pages (and Yell). Are there any good deals around? Many thanks.

you can get a free 1 line entry no matter whom your porvider is with yell. Best off with a consumer package if not used much for calls0

Thanks pnpsuknet, but what I meant was I have to have a business line to get the free one line entry. You cant get into Yellow pages with a residential line.0

Hi chucklebezza
Are you saying you can't a free one line entry without a business line? What is the difference to Yell? If you are a home-based business, then your business phone number can be the same as your residential number. As far as I can tell, you can get the free entry just by filling in the online application stating that you are a home-based business etc.
Good luck

Yell would not know if you were paying biz or res line rental.0

Thank you all for your help. The information that I was given when I started my business 11 years ago was that if I wanted to be in Yellow pages I would have to have a business line. Now maybe that has changed. I will recheck and get back. But once again thanks for help0

11 years ago that would have been the case. However, Yellow Pages is no longer part of BT, so as far as I'm aware, they wouldn't be able to differentiate between a business and residential line.0
