OU ...financial support

If I study full time (40 hours a week, I have special permission for the director of my regional office) with the OU, would I be entitled to student finance, or student accounts?
I have the feeling that the answer is no, but the reason I'd be doing this is because of my disability making it hard to work and to leave the house a lot of the time. The OU give a grant of £250, but thats still huge amounts less then how much I'd get through student finance.
Is there a loop hole or something?

depends on what your annual income is
check the ou site to see what your entitled to0 -
I'm on a 'qualifying benefit', but when I use the student calculator, it says fees are paid, and a £250 course grant...but that's not much to live off!!
I know you are supposed to work at the same time, but I can't.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

£50 a week isn't going to support anyone, really, especially when bills etc come into the equation. I live on my own, so without student support I can't study. I can't work, I'm forbidden by my hospital.
Thanks for your help, its the response I expected!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

You aren't eligible for student finance because, by definition, you must be a part time student with the OU, regardless of the number of hours you put in.
Why do you only get £50 per week if you have a disability? What about housing benefits, Incapacity Benefit/DLA? What benefit do you actually receive?0
