So I stupidly exceeded my credit limit with A&L today, have I lost my 0% rate now for ever?

They'll revoke it because you've breached your terms and conditions - make a debit card payment immediately to bring yourself within limit, then give them an urgent call and ask them if they can:
1) reinstate your 0% rate
2) credit you back with any over-limit fee
3) credit you back with any interest (though maybe not worth arguing this one)
