I'd like to get blinds for our 2.5 m wide patio door and was looking for suggestions for something that is light, simple and not too expensive. I was going to get the IKEA panel curtains but their tracking only extends to 2.3 m. Any ideas welcome.

Cant you put 2 sets of blinds up ? would make it easier to open one door too if you only need to open one side of the blinds ?0

You can use vertical blinds as they go to really big window widths. Try The Blind Shop - they do ones in white. Their website is theblindshop.com
You can search on line for a promotion code which is really worth it.0 -

Although these being wood are not light coloured but do at least come in large sizes which are very hard to find & generally need to be made to measure for larger windows. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROMAN-BLINDS-Wood-Weave-Bamboo-all-sizes-1-price_W0QQitemZ200375536684QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Home_Garden_Curtains_Blinds_Blinds_EH?hash=item2ea7500c2c&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14
I ordered one of these for one of my windows, which is very wide & they are good quality & I understand unsold stock from a John Lewis discontinued line. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Many thanks for all those suggestions. Just realised I posted this on the wrong board but never mind, I have a few more ideas now.
I had considered using two IKEA panel curtain tracks but I'm not sure if one track will be small enough to fit half the window and I'm also thinking maybe I'll be left with a gap in the middle of the strips of curtain. Thanks again all.0
