Help - Fire & boiler service but still having problems

We had our gas fire & condensing boiler service a couple of weeks ago. When I booked it I said we were having problems with both appliances lighting (the fire lights but you then have to hold the gas knob in for about 15 seconds to keep the flame lit, or it just goes out; the boiler sometimes goes to flame failure and needs resetting before it'll light).
The guy came out (was really friendly) and serviced these - took 3.5 hrs. He said the boiler was fine but that we needed new piezo ignitor for the fire but that I could buy that and fit it myself.
However, since then the boiler has got worse and this morning has cut out during OH's shower (before it just used to not light first time).
So - am I best to ring the guy back who came before (and who has suggested that I fit parts to the fire myself), or ring someone else (but no-one will recommend anyone local).
Any advice welcomed!
Thanks

Get the 'engineer' back who did the servicing.
3 and a half hours is a long time to take for just servicing - I hope you didnt charge you for 3 and a half hours work!! Should take maximum 2 hours.0 -
Thanks for the reply (not been on for a few days) - we got the original guy back and after another 3 hrs he's sorted our problem (something to do with air pressure). It cost us 3hrs for the first visit and another 3hrs for the second visit - plus a small part - but at least we now have lovely hot water!0
