Hsbc contents insurance any help

Does anyone have any experiance with HSBC contents insurance i have had the same policy for 5 years today my wife closed the laptop and left a pen on the key board off cousre it broke the screen.

Phoned Hsbc which turned out to be Royal sun alliance they said get lost your not covered for accidents i pointed out clause 13 in the contents section which states you are covered for accidental damage to tv,sattalite an computers which i have asked and checked every year, they said you should have taken accidental cover i told them i did not need it when the main things i.e tv and computer where already covered in clause 13 they kept saying sorry clause 26.

Has anyone else had the same problem with hsbc how can they include it in the main schedule then exclude it becouse i didn't want the rest of my home covered for accidents to carpets,beds,sofas etc any experiance would be appreciated.
