I'm in the process of redoing my bathroom. We put the bathroom suite in ourselves but we need to get someone in to do the tiling and to fit an electric shower but we're first time homeowners and concerned about getting ripped off.
We've already bought the tiles and the electric shower (but no other materials); the area that we need tiled is about 4sqm and the electric shower is just a replacement but we would like to move the mains pipe that runs into the shower by a few inches. About how much should this cost us?

the tiles should be about 100/200 quid labour. and the shower can cost between 50/200 quid.

We live in SE Wales and were given a quote for £300-350 for the whole job and that's if we go out and buy the adhesive, grout etc for the tiling.
We did ask that the pipe be moved for the shower, but it's only by a few inches and really only requires the existing pipe to be cut and a new hole through the wall to the shower. Is that a fair quote?0 -
I forgot to mention that the area that needs tiling also has a 2ft x 2ft window in it...so that's even less area that has to be tiled. And we're going to take off all of the tiles that are on now.0

Hi
I am in South Wales too and would charge around the £300 to £350 mark so it sounds about right.
