BBBarclays PPI how long ooh how long

good evening
Barclays ppi we are claiming as misold as told no ppi no loan.fobbed off over 12 weeks since 1st letter told we would have a response by early july no reply early august sent them a chasing letter got a bog standard "sorry for delay in issuing a response to you we remain committed to resolving your complaint as quickly as possible(now 13 weeks)".
where do we go from here (over the bridge i fear).

Hi there,

I would move on to the FOS, tell the FOS on the complaint form that you have heard nothing, 8 weeks is ample time, you can download and print a complaint form online, or ring to arrange to have one posted to you here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Enclose any copies of correspondence you do have, good luck and please keep us posted.

yep got my ppi off a 2004 loan from Barclays Firstplus.

as Di says they are just fobbing you off ,go to FOS they are upholding around 90% of claims against barclays

there is a good report out next month that puts them top of the complaints pile by a mile, so good time to act .

Well im still waiting as well been 5wks since i replyed should i do the same and go stright to the FOS or use the follow up letter ( Stage 2 ) then the FOS ?

If its over 8 weeks since you first complained then you now have the option of taking this to the FOS anyway. Its up to you if you give them longer cause once it goes to FOS they will most probably stop commumicating with you altogether.

Barlcays are known for not replying in time limits so if it were me i would now go to the FOS if you prove its over 8 weeks since first complaining. You may be better to ring FOS and give them dates and details and see what they suggest.
