Worth a go but a lot of comapnies only take on through agencies now. At my work in the dept that employ agency workers they are actually on a higher hourly rate than the staff employed by our company. There was a job advertised on wednesday which i applied for but would it be cheeky of me to send a speculative letter plus cv to the company, im 99% certain i know who the agencies client is,

I've just secured a full-time permanent job through an agency. The company have told me my salary is £13,000...so what does the agency get?0

And so they should be, that's how it used to be. Agency workers are supposed to be more able/willing and keen than full-time employees and they drop into the job at the drop of a hat, without any job security or future. No special treatment, or extras. At my work in the dept that employ agency workers they are actually on a higher hourly rate than the staff employed by our company.

Probably 10-15% of your yearly salary.ilikedrawing wrote: »I've just secured a full-time permanent job through an agency. The company have told me my salary is £13,000...so what does the agency get?0
