Sandzb, whats being said does appear to be correct. Picture do reimburse themselves, dont tell you the amounts but then set up the new loan taking this rebate (as they put it) into account. I like you thought exactly the same, Ive been done here as I hadnt recd a refund of just under £5k which the FSCS say I did. And it was only when Busby and Pinkco explained it to me that the figure was taken into account when calculating the new loan. I done many sums after that and it does make sense.

Altho you have just reminded that I never did phone Picture to get a breakdown. Just to double check. Something for my To do list tomorrow. Thank you.

Now NCB that is a different matter altogether have you had that deducted as well ?

Just phoned Picture to double check the above, and gotta say credit where credit is due, the Guy I spoke did explain the above to me in such an easy way it was simple to understand. Great customer service from this individual. Yes Sandzb, the payment was included in the next calcualtion.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D

    And its correct:

    Original PPI Premium - £8,492.50

Plus : Interest, this is the amount of interest your lender has already charged you to date on the amount of premium - £576.33

    Less: Benefits Received
This is the amount you have already received from the insurer, for example, an amount you have claimed or no claim rebate - £Nil

    Less: Rebate due upon cancellation
this is the rebate received when the policy was cancelled in 2006 - £7,644.43

Plus A reasonable rate of return
This is the amount to compensate you for the monthly payments you have made in respect of the PPI Premium - £19.47

    Equals: Compensation Figure - £1,443.87

The £1443.87 is the cheque payment.

To be honest, I was only expecting over £800 ans something but the interest adds up, so this is a bonus, and am chuffed to beans, it will certainly help.:j:j:j:beer::beer::beer:
