Beaniebabe, your total loan and PPI would have cost you £240000 but this is split between 41376 being PPI with interest and 198624 being the actual loan and interest. You have made 24 repayments but the repayments are split between £137.92 being towards the PPI and £662.08 towards the loan. You made 24 repayments against the loan being in total 15889.92 so owing on the loan would be £182734.08.
Still a lot owing but if the PPI was also on this it would be another £38065.92.
Hope this helps you understand. If you don't just ask away...0 -

I think just being a single premium is enough for any firm to have missold them. That is how FOS looks at them and I am sure the FSCS will do the same. The FSA set the rules that FOS and FSCS follow and it was the FSA that said these single premiums were not on after the super complaint.
I think all you Picture ones will be fine. :cool:0 -
Forgot to tell you folks, as lots of stuff going on at the moment, but received an email from Deloittes on Friday in regards of TWOPART/ELOAN, and don't know if you remember but a few weeks back they accidentally sent me the declaration form through the post that we signed last July, when we sent off the claim, they have now asked that I print off the one they emailed me with to send back and apologised for the inconvenience.
So this is something I will have to try to get on with tomorrow now (Monday), been having probs with the printer, probably down to this computer again, but I did suggest sending the one back off they sent to us, she said there is no need, didn't think it would make any difference.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi All,
I have just spoken to the FSCS and they have told me that if you took the loan out before the 15th January 2005 they aren't able to help.
Has anyone else been told this?
Luckily when I have checked my paper work we took the loan out in June 2005.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,

Just want to wish everyone good luck with their claims and I hope you hear something positive soon.
I also agree Marshallka is a whizz at figures. We should vote her in for chancellor,
or head of the Bank of England. She would certainly sort things out0 -

Hi Longword.
Unfortunately this is true, they work the same way as the FOS in this respect, glad yours was after that date.;)
Did they tell you to email for a form?

I can only work out the total cost of the PPI and how much of the monthly payments were towards the PPI so just to give some idea of redress amounts. Its really easy to do. Its knowing the rules from the FSA handbook that needs the brains.:eek:0
