Hi Paul
Depending on your location some Help The Aged shops sell birthday cards but charity shops which sell new card have got to buy them in the first place so some of the purchase price goes towards the original cost.
Some of our shops get them donated so there 100% profit but its worth looking for.
With Help the aged's new goods the stock we but is bankrupt stock so it is cheap such as at the moment we've got the teddies which came with the teddy bear collection magazine recently.
If you tell me where you are i'll tell you where you local HTA shop is.
Let me know if you need anymore information

I put charity birthday cards in MSN search (UK only) and the above site came up.
I have used them for Christmas Cards and was very impressed, they do not give 100% to charity, but they do give alot more than the high street eg M&S etc.
Hope it helps,

the museum where I do some voluntary work (Anson Engine Museum) sells a range of cards which they will be putting on line soon. They are a registered charity.
They pay the designer the cost of the card and then all the profit goes to us at the museum. The website is https://www.enginemuseum.org and they should have the online shop bit working by end May/early June.

If you purchase through the above website your selected charity recieves 0.11p per unit purchased.
I've spoke to a couple of people who work for uk charites and they don't know any where which donates 100% or a large quantity the largest % they know is 11% as well.

thanks, i've found a lovely card of which i can personalise my own message:

if you do hear of another card service online that gives a greater pecentage to humanitarian causes, i would appreciate it if you'd let me know.

I know that birthday cards etc don't yield much for the charity, but at Christmas if you order cards through this site, depending on the card and Charity you wish to support (you can choose) something in the region of 20% (if I remember correctly) is passed back to the charity. One for the diary..
Glad I could help, best wishes
Jays
edit: actually checked on site and 20% is sent to charity from Christmas Cards - beats 5p per packet at M&S.0 -
charities own shops probably will yield the best return.for more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.

yes, I realise I may appear cold and heartless a lot of the time.0 -
If you go to world vision and buy a gift starting from £5 then you can personalise a card for the recipient and either get it sent straight to them or to you to sign and then post. Greatif you have forgotten as you dont have to leave the house to send the car. You can put the "gift" in your tax return and also girt aid it if you pay tax. The charity gets an extra £2.80 on ever ten. I think christian aid also do the same but i always use worldvision. It also saves giving a gift to someone who already has everythig they need.0
