ICICI HiSAVE - Tax Certificates - Had one yet?

But nothing yet. Has anyone else received theirs? Or any reply messages from the HiSAVE Accounts Manager if this has been queried?

Not got mine, then again I only recieved A&L's one yesterday & nothing from HSBC yet.

Tax Certificates for 2005-2006 ICICI HiSAVE accounts for my wife and myself arrived this morning.

However, my name is referred to on it as merely "Mr XXXXX" and does not use any of my initials. Similarly, wifey is referred to as merely "Mrs XXXXX" and no initials are used for her either.

I do think the staff at this bank are both sloppy and very poorly trained, probably by very sloppy managers and supervisors, who themselves are not fully aware of fairly basic stuff.

Q. I wonder if the Inland Revenue will accept them?

A. Since the answer to that question is "I am not fully sure", I will ask for replacements now, rather than wait for the IR to possibly be bloody-minded about things.

Due to a technical error, a few tax certificates carry discrepant figures against the gross and net interest heads. If you observe any such discrepancy, we would like to apologise for the same and wish to inform you that we are in the process of sending an updated tax certificate to avoid any inconvenience. These are expected to be dispatched from our end by the 10th of May 2006.

Well, I am naughty! I didn't check the Tax Certificate when it came in. Neither did my wife check hers. So we have both done this now.

Mine is perfectly correct.
Wifey's is perfectly correct too.
