Hey,
I'm new to this forum!
Okay so this is the low down...
I'm 24 working full time for a large water utility company I get around £1030-£1,300 (depending on overtime) per month and I study part time too and enjoy the odd beer with friends etc so i'm a busy lad!
I currently have an Overdraught of £3,000 (mainly used this much to help me with my course and materials etc)
My outgoings are; (As decided to budget from now on)
Rent £320 per month
Broadband/phone/tv £30 per month
Mobile £45
Gym £25 per month (student deal/I go 5 times per week)
Travel to work £55 per month
Food/personal care shopping £120
Social stuff - £120 per month
(Around £720 per month typically)
Anyway I believe the bank owe me around £3,000! The past 3 month they have charged the following;
£75.00 unplanned O/D FEES 1.6.09
£20.00 Returned S/O 1.6.09
£165.00 Unplanned O/D fees 1.7.09
£20.00 Returned S/O 1.7.09
£165.00 Unplanned 0/D fees 1.8.09
£20.00 Returned S/0 1.8.09
I have a claim against them with Claims financial as I am too busy to send off the forms etc. Recently I sent off a cliam for financial hardship. Anyway this is my story, whats yours?

Is your overdraft agreed or did you go over your agreed limit with Lloyds TSB?0

I have just set-up a plan to decrease my charges £150 per month with the collections centre. I have gone over my agreed overdraught but initially it was by £5 (they charged me for it) and it's snowballed since then.0

Make sure you tell the claims company because if you get any settlement they will want their cut as well.H8sCharges wrote: »I have just set-up a plan to decrease my charges £150 per month with the collections centre. I can't see financial hardship from the figures posted but do you have rent arrears, council tax arrears, utilities?0 -
The claims company are the ones who issues me with the financial hardship documents which I filled in and posted. No rent arrears etc...
However I am still missing out on friends birthdays etc which I guess is commond down to these insane charges. I hope in October when the case is hopefully come to a decision I get it all back!0 -
I can sympathise with your situation. However I would agree with the OP that the income/outgoings you have posted don't really suggest financial hardship. I understand you want to go out and enjoy yourself, and so you should - you clearly work and study hard, but missing friends birthdays doesn't constitute financial hardship. I don't want to sound harsh, but if you think it does, you should read some of the other threads on here.0

True, it should be fine now I have set myself a budget and let's just hope we all get the charges back that're we rightfully deserve!0
