Help BT taking money from my bank to pay another account!!!!

I hope this is in the right place!
My daughter in law has an account with BT and has money taken out via direct debit.
last month they took approx £60 out of her bank and when she challenged them it appears that they have set up 2 accounts 1 of which is someone else and lives miles away!!!!
They have just tried takin this again and the bank are now charging her as she didnt have money in her account, last time this happened she told the bank to cancel the dd for this account no's as it wasnt hers.
HELP!!!!!!!!! please

She should demand that her bank immediately reverses the incorrect (other) DD call under the DD Guarantee.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Sorry to read about whats happening with your Daughter in Law's direct debits, send me full details and any account numbers relevant so that I can investigate this for you.
Heinz is right she should contact her bank, if she didn't authorise that direct debit for the other account from her bank they will refund the money under the Direct Debit guarantee.
I want to ensure it doesn't happen again.
