Hi, good news

:TFirstly I want to apologise for not being around these last few days. I've been battered by the opinions of some people who have come onto the board and realise that other people are viewing my posts when I wear my heart on my sleave and are sitting their tut tutting at me. I'm trying to ignore them but the're niggling away at me.. best say hi, hello to those who are reading to get your kicks out of bankrupts, It's a nice position to be sitting on that high horse, no so good here as the rug has been pulled out from me
Anyway, sod them.
Hi friends :T
I have good news!
We are going to lose our home and that has been an inevitable part of being forced into br. Well, we know we have had to start looking into renting and were very upset as we realised we needed a guarantor, we didn't have anyone who could help us so the future was bleak. Endless looking on private landlord sites and desperate emails and calls to angecies asking if we could be considered to rent without a guarantor, no no no no no no. So I applied for local authority housing and housing associations in my area. I really didn't want this to be where we lived as our areas are not great and I have two very clever, precious little girls to look after.
It's not going to come to this though :T I have managed to find a very nice man in a lovely rural village who is willing to let us rent his home (a lovely big 1930's semi with bay windows, I can't believe it!) because he appreciates our honesty, sees why we've fallen on hard times, thinks our girls are a credit to us and would love for his family home to be taken care of and be a place of happiness for another family. He said he had come very close to BR when the coal strikes we're in force years ago and knows how quickly things can be turned upside down. He said that there's an outstanding infant school in the village and believes our girls will thrive there.
It's so good for people to look beyond the big B on my head, see me and my husband for the lovely people we are, not every one are take downs, not every one planned never to pay the money back, some of us are decent people that are kicking themselves more than anyone else for ever borrowing in the first place, learned never to borrow another penny, will pass on this sound advice onto our children.
So good news! (and for those of you reading this forum for kicks and wondering how we can afford a nice big house like that after going bankrupt *did I hear a tut?!* it's £150 cheaper a month than the mortgage we were paying on our 3 bedroom newbuild shoe box in town)
Anyway, sod them.

I am in a very fortunate position to rent my home off the council & we all live in a really gorgeous town (well village really coz all I see are fields)
I have not had to go through the awful worry that most have about losing my home (well I hope the council dont chuck us all out.. the rent has never been part of my br)
I wish you all the luck for the future, you really do deserve this fresh start

Aw thanks guys!
Eeeeh, I do go on a bit dont I? Well I believe that if it wasn't for posting the way I do on here then emotionally I would not be in the same place I am now.
This board in invaluable and I thank every one of you for helping me through the past few weeks, I've never experienced such downs, such despair as the future wasn't in my hands, the shame and guilt of it all but I am now in a place where I can start again (just wish OR would arrange an interview) I plan to make myself a part of this community, I plan to stay at home and look after my children (have no option really) , I plan for my husband to work his socks off to provide for his family, I plan to continue with my studies and goto university in 2011, I plan to save as much money for a deposit for a home in 6 years time and I plan for us to live happily ever after with us both earning good salaries.
Those of you who believe we should always live in sad squalor and not plan for or for or save for our future doing what we've had to do then you live with your ever so happy thoughts.0 -
