Casting Collective are brilliant too, did about 3 weeks work on Robin Hood, got paid between £160-£200 a day.

I am amazed if they paid £200 per day to over 1,200 extras they used costing them obviously around £250,000 per day.

As disgusting as it may seem, they did. I was also working on that film and they definitely were not readers of MSE :p

But back on topic, casting collective and mad dog are both registering this month (you've actually missed the mad dog london registration deadline till March), but Uni-versal extras and ray knight casting take people all year round.

I personally would never pay money up front. Always get them to take a fee from your first paid job.

Browser they seemed to have paid more than the 'norm' then and the people i know who were working on robin hood and getting £75-£95 a day must have got it wrong then.I worked on braveheart, the business, football factory and rise of the foot soldier.

Casting collective standard day rate is £79.59 which is upon a 9 hour stipulated period inc meal break, between 7am and 10pm.Their night rate is £99.47 which is based upon a 9 hour stipulated period inc meal break, scheduled to extend beyond midnight or to commence before 4am.

They weren't paying more than the 'norm', (they were paying FAA rates) we were just working more than the 'norm'....

Broken lunch meant overtime started after 7 hours (@£15/hour approx) and we were working about 12 hours a day and it was in surrey (which means more travel allowance). It was rough, but we were well compensated!

But I do realise, and it is important to note when starting out, that most days I have found will be 70-90 pounds before commission.
