Just wondering has anyone ever got a crisis loan to help with mortgage? would it be allowed? Have no savings or family to help me out and am don't know what i can do? am also pregnant and can't cope with much more stress!

Have you spoken to your lender to explain your situation? Most lenders are quite helpful in times of trouble such as yours & may be able to offer you a payment holiday or allow you to switch to interest only mortgage.

Whatever you do though, do keep your lender informed, especially if you feel you may go into arrears as they can only help you if they know your situation.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • thanks for the posts. looked at the site and see it says you can't get a crisis loan for mortgage payments so am stuck. Can't get the budgeting one either as have not received benefits long enough. Not looking good!
  • Speak to your mortgage lender and ask them to defer payment until you can get help with the mortgage. They will tack this on at the end of the mortgage term.
