Small Claims - Exchanging Statements Simultaneously

Anyone got any ideas how this can actually be done?
I am due to exchange witness statements next week with a defendant who is not local so am wondering how this is done.
The post is no good as they could hold onto theirs and send once they have had a good look through mine!
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Send yours sealed in an envelope with your letter, stating that it should not be opened until the agreed date. That's all you can do, I'm afraid. That's the risk that you take. You are relying on their honesty.0

Afraid it never happens simultaneously. Make sure you comply with the Court's directions but don't expect the Defendant to do so.
Sadly, District Judges don't give a stuff even if they actually respond to points which you have raised in your statements.0
