I dont use asda, but I have seen loads of these posts before, happens all the time apparently!

ive used asda for a while now and have yet to have a problem, what people have to remember is that for every customer complaining theres loads more who are happy with the service, i personally have had issues with tesco online and wont use them again.

    Bah, I spoke too soon!

I had my delivery booked for between 5 and 7 yesterday so it would be al packed away and we'd have dinner before the X Factor started.
Just after 8 o'clock I phoned to find out where my delivery was as it hadn't turned up and the nice lady said they were an hour and a half behind, she said she'd put a free delivery e-voucher on my account for next time.
It turned up just as the last act was performing so I missed it. Grr.

  • I was planning on doing my first online Asda shop but im not going to bother now....I dont even go into the Asda store now as its so bad and prefer to drive the extra 10 miles to the Tesco Extra.

Hubby will have to go get the tomatoes instore instead as they are too good to miss :D

I find our Tesco Extra is mega expensive, like service station prices, they never have any decent deals on.

But I know what you mena about going into Asda, it's always packed with people now, there doesn't seem to be enough room. The 'shopping experience' isn't so good but you can get some real bargains.

The other week the gammon joints were £2.00 so I got a couple, now they're back up to nearly £4.

I always used Tesco as they were around the same distance away, however since moving a couple of months ago I have been using Asda just because its 10 miles closer. The store is tiny with tiny aisles, no stock on the shelves no matter when you go, cages eveywhere, miserable unhelpful staff who rifle through your bags if you try to use a coupon, huge queues and then to top it all off its in a roughish town which is full of chavs :o

I always hear people say Asda is cheaper but I have never noticed much of a difference to be honest and I guess a lot of it is down to the offers but again any offers in Asda are usually sold out or probably not stocked in ours in the first place!

I have a toddler and Tesco's wide aisles, stocked shelves, bigger range and nice staff make it far more easier for me, but im sure not all Asda's are like mine :D

  • Hi,

Just to let you know - Asda have now credited me for the money - after I had to ring up and chase on two occasions.

I think I shall be sticking with Tesco for a while

    Thanks

thanks I was wondering what happened. And Why it happened, aren't these things added up by a machine? Are the instore receipts likely to be £60 overcharged too?
What are people supposed to do their shopping with/eat while Asda keep £60 for 3 weeks?
